Relax, Refresh, and Recharge!

Summer, sun, sunshine, but no sign of relaxation? Work is hectic, exams are coming up, or the next move is just around the corner? In such situations, we often put our needs aside, even though it is precisely at these moments that it is extremely important to focus on balancing relaxation to stay healthy and energetic in the long run!

To help you with that, we’re sharing our five favorite tips on how to easily integrate relaxation into your daily routine – even during stressful times! Following the motto: Relax, Refresh & Recharge!

RELAX, REFRESH & RECHARGE!

We’ll show you how to escape the daily hustle and stress – by changing a few daily habits! With our five tips, it will be easy for you to approach your day feeling refreshed!

1. The most important thing comes early in the morning!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day – and rightly so! Starting the day with a balanced meal supplies your body with essential nutrients and provides the fuel needed to have enough energy and a good mood all day long! If your body receives enough vitamins, minerals, trace elements and superfoods already in the morning, it can also positively affect how your body handles stressful situations! So, take enough time for your breakfast – and make it a special occasion – every day: Relax, Refresh & Recharge!

Tip: To REALLY start the day relaxed and refreshed, check your emails only at work – not at the breakfast table! This way, you give yourself time to prepare for a long day and enjoy your meal.

2. Rest during work!

The workday is still long, and your only thoughts are about finally finishing, enjoying free time, putting your feet up, and just switching off? Be careful here! Relaxation doesn’t only happen during free time or vacation!

Relaxation should already take place before and especially during your working hours – the positive effect of several small breaks during work is even proven! This reduces stress, balances your work-life balance, and you feel much better!

Tip: How about a short meditation during your lunch break? Meditating reduces stress, boosts creativity, and stimulates brain activity! So, just take a moment to relax!

3. Movement and exercise!

Sport and relaxation in one sentence sounds strange to you? It shouldn’t! If you work a lot, have stress, and want to relax, you should integrate plenty of movement and exercise into your daily routine! Nothing is more relaxing than a walk or a short bike ride with your loved ones – discovering nature and discussing the wonders of the world – wonderful!

It doesn’t matter whether a trip, a yoga session, or a power boxing class is relaxing for you – movement and exercise are healthy! Daily movement activates various processes in the body, strengthening your immune system, toning your muscles, and relaxing your soul!

Tip: Whether your office is on the fourth floor or you want to go to the first floor in the shopping center: Just resist the temptation of escalators and elevators and take the stairs!

4. Take time for yourself!

How about a hot relaxing bath? It relaxes body and mind, helps reduce stress, and can relieve tension in the body! With a 15-minute relaxing bath, you can quickly switch off and escape everyday stress. Close your eyes and think of beautiful things you have experienced in the past and want to experience in the future! This lowers blood pressure and brings the body into a state of relaxation!

Tip: Pay attention to the water temperature here: 36-38 degrees Celsius is optimal to avoid stressing your heart and circulation. Indirect lighting, candles, your favorite song, and essential oils can also help you recover quickly!

5. Get enough sleep!

Look forward to your sleep! After a long, exhausting day, there is no better feeling than falling into bed in the evening and letting go of your thoughts and problems! A small ritual before going to sleep can help you calm down and relax! It doesn’t matter whether it’s a daily cup of tea, reading your favorite book, or a short meditation! By repeating activities daily, you signal to your body that it’s time to let go and end the day!

Tip: Try to sleep between 6-8 hours daily! This is the optimal time for your body to recover and for you to start the new day full of energy! Of course, everyone relaxes differently! It can be just as relaxing to unwind in front of the TV as to meet friends and talk through all your frustrations! And one thing is certain: If you integrate these five basic tips into your daily routine, your relaxation level will definitely increase!

Our last tip: LAUGH! Positive thinking in everyday life helps you approach things with joy and energy and prevents stress!
