Ground beef with carrots, lentils, and yogurt

Ingredients for three servings

50 g red lentils
100 g lean ground beef
1 carrot
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
1 tsp curry
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp garam masala
1 pinch of salt
1 tbsp oil

Preparation

  1. Cut the carrot, onion, and garlic into small cubes. Sauté the onion and garlic cubes until translucent. Then add the ground beef and brown it nicely.
  2. Add the carrot cubes and mix with the spices. After a short time, add the lentils and briefly roast them as well. Then deglaze with broth and let simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, chop the coriander leaves and season the yogurt with salt, lemon juice, and pepper. When the stew has reached a creamy consistency, stir in the chopped coriander. Remove from heat and season with balsamic vinegar, salt, and lemon. Serve and accompany the stew with yogurt. Enjoy your meal!
